Getting Started
At ProStar, you have options when starting up with our service. After we arrive, we will do an inspection of your interior and exterior to determine the which initial treatment you should receive and the frequency of future treatments.
If you have not had a pest service in the past, we usually recommend receiving our comprehensive initial treatment. This treatment involves "in-wall" application of micro insecticidal dust underneath kitchen and bathroom cabinets and to the interior perimeter walls of your home, followed by a crack and crevice treatment throughout the interior of the house. We then apply a wide exterior perimeter treatment at the maximum dosage recommended on our product label. By the time we are finished with your initial treatment, your home will have maximum protection against general pest, such as ants, roaches, spiders, silverfish, crickets, and other common pests.
In-wall treatment is a highly effective secondary protection against pest, as long as your home continues to have an effective barrier around the exterior perimeter, rarely will we need to enter your home for treatment, virtually eliminating the need for you to be home waiting for us to come by.
Now, if you have had service before and you are switching over to us, then depending on who you were using before, we may just start you off with our basic initial service which envolves the above treatments with the exception of the "in-wall" treatment.

Ongoing treatments
ProStar offers Monthly, BiMonthly, and Quarterly services for general pest control. Most homes in our service area have desert landscape and limited moisture and can begin service on a quarterly basis. However, for those few homeowners that have a landscape with lots of trees, shrubs, and grass, not to mention a pool and/or hot tub, then you may require a monthly or bimonthly program. Specialized treatments
Do you have a unique pest problem such as Bees, German Roaches, or Bed Bugs? ProStar offers treatment for these problem pests too. German roaches and bed bugs will generally require extensive time and treatment that normal pest control can't provide. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HANDLE BED BUGS ON YOUR OWN. Contact a licensed pest control company. By attempting to handle a bed bug infestation by yourself, you will generally make the problem worse and more expensive for you to have treated.
Now a quick note on treating Bees; We really, really need bees! If you have bees that are swarming, leave them "bee" for the first 24 hours, chances are they will move on. However if it looks like they will be staying, give us a call.
German roaches are filthy, disease carrying pests that can be resistant to certain treatment products, call a professional such as ProStar Pest Control. Because professional knowledge about these pest is 80% of the battle.
